- I've heard from about ten who want to go with _Learning Irish_, a
- chapter every two weeks. Next Friday I'll post a message in Irish
- based on Chapter 1. Two weeks from today Sean will. Any volunteers
- for Chapter 2 three and four weeks from today? Post questions on the
- book or our messages to G-L. Keep all as short as possible. Always
- use ELEM IG subject heading, please. This allows G-L members to
- skip over our messages. Tim suggested we post answers to lessons
- over G-L instead of checking with back of book (in other words use
- each other instead of answers in back of book). I'm not sure how
- this would work unless only one of did that and all the others make
- corrections?? Clarify, Tim. For those who indicated a desire to
- work with ELEM IG but do not have the _Learning Irish_ book, I
- would suggest ordering it and then we will catch you up with us. The
- author is Mícheál ó Siadhail (those slashes are accents above the
- preceding letter). This will go slow for some of you, but the slower
- pace will help some others keep up. I, myself, have about 10 minutes
- per day I can spare on this. By Christmas, the messages we post every
- Friday should be so much more interesting than these initial ones. We
- have to crawl before we walk. So next Friday, here comes Irish message
- number one. Perhaps it shall be a question(s), that you will have to
- answer on Elem IG of course. And if Saint Dorothy from Canada be
- listening, perhaps she swoop in and help us out from our tangles
- time to time (above: she'll). In the meantime, I'll write and see
- if Tosaigh Maigh is still available somewhere.
- Go raibh míle maith agat. STOP. I'll be issuing a message next week
- based on Chapters 1 & 2 (1 being mostly phonetics).
